And I’ll be honest — it stung.

But here’s the thing I’ve learned: a quiet launch isn’t a failure. It’s a pause. A moment to breathe, regroup, and decide what comes next. Most importantly, I’m remembering why I write these stories: to shine a light in dark places, give a voice to the missing, create characters who refuse to look away, and give readers hope and inspiration on their darkest days, a temporary escape.
